We Take The Hat To Harrods

We ended our day with a quick trip to Harrods--which Olivia has declared to be her new favorite place on earth. Harrods really is amazing for several reasons: the quantity of merchandise is mindblowing; the quality of merchandise is exceptional; the cost of merchandise is astronomical and the display of merchandise is some of the best art in town. We wandered through the fine jewelry section where we admired among other things stunning diamond necklaces at the Cartier shop and a solid gold and platinum cell phone. (I wonder, do calls really sound better?) We then wandered over to the furs where Olivia had a chance to see and feel real mink, fox, and other soft and luxurious coats. (Apparently her recent environmental streak only stretches so far .) We ended the evening with a stop at our favorite gelatto counter in the store where Olivia discovered that she really does like strawberry ice cream and grandma ordered (and finished) the impressive concoction shown here. By the way, be sure to check out the hat--the purchase from earlier in the day. It's amazing when she wears it how attentive those store clerks in the fine jewelry section can be!
