School Is In Session

The holiday from school officially ended this morning. An essential part of the trip here is to keep up studies at the same pace as in the U.S. Helpfully, Crooked River and Willows provided us with thorough curricucula before we left, we which supplemented with grade-appropriate workbooks, flashcards and imagination. Our routine involves getting up and getting dressed in the morning, eating a quick breakfast and then starting school for two hours. We do writing, spelling, math and reading. (In Cecily's case, we do shapes and colors as well). Only then do we get to go see something. It sounds easy enough, but. . . . Let's just say that if I ever denigrated the hard work of an elementary school teacher, I hereby APOLOGIZE!
